Thank you! This is traditional, but I set my scanner to black & white so you get really high contrast without having to do any editing, and it also hides the texture of the paper and any inconsistencies or blemishes from the black part of the background. I gave it two coats with a bullet and brush pen, so it is pretty smooth IRL, but you can still where the markers overlapped in the right light.
